Unveiling of the Historical Marker Honoring Primo Bartolini

Join us for a special moment in Nashville history!

On Saturday, October4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., we’ll unveil a historical marker honoring Primo Bartolini — Italian American patriot, WWI veteran, teacher and poet.

The ceremony will open with remarks from Linda T. Wynn, Chair of the Metro Nashville Historical Commission, and Matteo Brera, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Research Fellow at the Università degli Studi di Padova and Seton Hall University

We will then hear from distinguished speakers including Christopher M. Caputo, Honorary Consul of Italy to the State of Tennessee; Angie Emery Henderson, Vice Mayor of Nashville and President of the Metro Council; Stefano Muzzarelli, Mayor of Fanano, Italy, Primo Bartolini’s hometown; Kelley Sirko and Ken Fieth of the Nashville Metro Archives; and William J. Connell, La Motta Endowed Chair in Italian Studies and Interim Director of the Alberto Institute at Seton Hall University. Members of Bartolini’s family will also share in this tribute.
